I have a slight obsession with lip gloss. NOT LIPSTICK! I’m not a lipstick girl because I don’t like that wacky little pink ring inside the lip that you can never get color on… I know, strange right? Terrible reason to not like lipstick, but alas.

I am obsessed with cruelty-free lip balms and glosses however and have recently stumbled on a few that I love or will soon try. This is the best way I know how to jump into my fetishes… because I thought swimsuits and lingerie might be a little risqué right out of the gate. Funny enough, I don’t wear much lingerie (despite my burlesque/ showgirl past).

Let’s get right into it.

Dr. Lipp

I have two of these… because I simply love the sheer color, and I, inevitably, leave one at home or in the car. This company is very bare bones, as they only make a few products and I only use one of them. This balm is long-wearing and the perfect amount of sticky. I know many people don’t like sticky at all, but I find a little of that helps the longevity.

This product is cruelty-free but isn’t completely vegan and they do use lanolin in their products. Lanolin comes almost exclusively from sheep, but good news, lanolin alternatives are on the way. Lanolin comes from the wool that is getting ready to be extracted, so, while the product does come from an animal, the animal is not “harmed” per se. Again, not my ideal, but I love that this product uses natural vegetable pigments.

I’ve linked it up on Amazon in the ven you want to get your hands on these bad boys right away.

Lime Crime – Blondie

This is the closest I’ll get to lipstick (okay, I’ll occasionally wear red for a photoshoot). I stumbled onto this brand from fellow vegan beauty bloggers and I adore the color and finish. Longevity is just the start of it, but the product has depth. It’s not surface level crap, and I adore that. It’s a matte finish and shimmery but not glittery. (I love me some glitter, but not on my lips)

This one is cruelty-free and vegan… so you can feel awesome about your purchase. Let’s be honest, you also know with this kind of product you’re also not put crap into your skin. Bonus.

Ink Lip

This product gets rave reviews online, the jury will be out as to how accurate those are.  As a cruelty-free and vegan product, I am intrigued by how this product will jive with my lip service luxury standards. Apparently, you can layer this product to create a more intense color. So, I’ll link it up if you want to try it too. I’ll show you all of them online via my insta stories soon!
